  • Under the ftdiport folder, right click the ftdiport.inf file and click install, again accept any warnings that appear.



  • Plug in your Mini-VCI cable and wait for windows to recognize it and load the drivers.



  • Open Device Manager and check if the cable is detected as USB Serial Port (COMx) under Ports (COM & LPT). If not, right click on it and update the driver manually by browsing to the ftdibus folder.




  • Note down the COM port number of the cable. You will need it later when configuring Techstream.



  • Run Techstream software and go to Setup -> VIM Select -> XHorse - MVCI.




  • Go to Setup -> Interface Setup -> COM Port Number and select the COM port number of your cable.




  • Click OK and restart Techstream software.
